The farmhouse is 2km from the village of Verduno, near the Tanaro River. It is situated in the old lumber mill district. The house has a large garden with its own private woodland of ancient century old poplar trees which curved with age, standing like guardians to protect the woodland. This is a peaceful place to relax and stay cool even on hot summer days. It is here in the light of the moon during the enchanted summer evenings fireflies can be observed giving a magical touch to summer nights.

From the woodland it takes approximately 30 mins to walk to Verduno centre, taking the country route through the fields and paths. At the centre of Verduno there is a communal garden that has a spectacular panoramic view that overlooks the ‘Langhe’ from where it is possible to see many famous landmarks. In the old historical village center of Verduno there are some historic landmarks to be seen, including the castle by the architect Juvarra, the church of Saint Michele Arcangelo, in baroque style, the church of Beato Sebastiano Valfre, the studio of the painter Valerio Berruti inside the church of Saint Rocco.

Verduno is also the home of the exclusive wine ‘Verduno Pelaverga’, this is only produced from grapes cultivated from Verduno’s vineyards on the surrounding hills. This wine is celebrated every year, in September on the first Sunday of the month, at the ‘Festa del Pelaverga’ where there is a variety of wine tasting and is a great opportunity for wine lovers to try this unique wine. Verduno is also only a ten minute drive from the famous village of Barolo the home of the most prestigious and famous wine in Italy ‘Barolo’. Barolo is a very scenic village with shops, resturants and Barolo castle which is home to the ‘wine Museum’ .
